Mavis Payne graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1997 with a B.A. in Psychology. She was issued a Registered Nurse license in 2008 from the Maryland Board of Nursing. In August 2003, Mavis Payne established Mandeville House, a licensed senior assisted living facility located in Waldorf, MD.
In 2015 Ms. Payne co-founded the Coalition of Assisted Living Providers (CoALP) a 501c3 organization. CoALP's mission is to provide effective health care and human services to seniors and to foster advances in public health and social services in the state of Maryland.
In 2020 Ms. Payne joined A Good Life Assisted Living where she functions as the clinical administrator and delegating nurse.
